His early years were far from architecture and design — he began working as a loader at the EXSA Explosives Factory in Lurín. However, his drive for growth led him to apply to SENATI, where he studied Automotive Mechanics. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for technical drawing and visual precision — a realization that would ultimately lead him toward architecture.
While continuing his studies, José began an internship at an architectural services gallery, where he found his true calling: architectural drafting. Determined to pursue this path, he enrolled in the Architecture program at Universidad Alas Peruanas, later complementing his education with a Diploma in Digital Architecture from the School of Digital Art. From that moment on, he established himself as a licensed Architect in Peru, blending a solid technical foundation with an artistic vision grounded in excellence.

During his time at Lima Sound, a company specializing in home automation systems, José honed his skills in architectural drawing and the design of smart, technology-integrated spaces. This experience broadened his understanding of how innovation, comfort, and design could coexist harmoniously.
After that chapter, he took a leap of faith and founded ARQ2 Studio, his first independent architectural drawing and rendering firm, located at Gallery 5330 in Lima. It was there — surrounded by plans, renderings, and passionate conversations about design — that he met Sandy Jazmín, with whom he would later form a professional partnership in Denver, Colorado (USA).

José went on to work as a Project Supervisor at HC Construcción, collaborating with Lima Airports Partners (LAP). In 2016, he founded Kapitaliz S.A.C., a company dedicated to architectural design and the construction of residential and multi-story projects from the ground up. His work quickly became recognized for its technical precision, visual balance, and the ability to turn complex ideas into tangible, functional results — for both residential and commercial clients.
In December 2024, José relocated to the United States with his family, seeking a safer environment and new professional opportunities. There, he reunited with Sandy, and a year later, they founded JS ArdStudio LLC, merging José’s architectural and visualization expertise with Sandy’s creative direction and interior design vision.
Today, José leads the Architectural Design and 3D Visualization Division at JS ArdStudio LLC, guided by a principle that defines his philosophy and career:
